BREIF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAM:

Bhrigu Lake is a high altitude alpine lake at an altitude of 14,000 feet; The Lake remains frozen for most of the year and is rooted deep in Hindu ancient stories. It is believed that Sage Bhrigu meditated on the banks of the holy lake. It is also said that many Rishis and Devtas took their bath in the sacred lake. There are some common elements to these treks in Manali as you traverse through the beautifully diverse Himalayan terrain, small idyllic villages and are treated to the most exotic flora and fauna of Himachal Pradesh. The steep trail goes through virgin forests and lush green meadows which open into the beautiful campsite of Rola Kholi.

The approximate trekking distance of 25 km traverses through beautiful Alpine regions, green-carpeted meadows, splendid campsites, quaint mountain villages and floors you with the view of colossal peaks of Hanuman Tibba and Seven Sisters.

Adore the traditional villages and apple orchards in the last leg of the descent. Hike through the forest and meadows with Manali and Solang Valley in the background.

DAY WISE SCHEDULE:

Day 1:  Reporting at Base Camp, Manali

Day 2:  Drive from  Camp to Gulaba and trek to Gulaba Meadows (10300 ft) 1.5 km

Day 3:  Trek from Gulaba meadow to Rola kholi (12500 ft) 6 km

Day 4:  Trek Rola kholi to Bhrigu Lake (14000 ft) and back 10km

Day 5:  Rola kholi to Gulaba and drive back to 15 Miles, stay at 15 Miles Camp

Day 6:  Check Out

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

This expedition is open to YHAI members who are 18 years above and physically fit. This condition will be adhered to strictly.

HOW TO REACH THE BASE CAMP:

Our base camp address is 15 Miles, near BTC Kullu Valley Hospital, Distt. Kullu, Himachal Pradesh. Get down at Ballu's Cafe – Hotel Baba Deluxe or Hotel Haraya Manali on the Delhi- Kullu Manali National Highway, from there you can reach base camp by walk (05 minutes) only.  Regular bus services are available from Delhi, Chandigarh, and Punjab to Kullu Manali. The nearest railheads are Ambala, Kiratpur Sahib, and Chandigarh. The nearest airport is Bhuntar.

SAFETY & SECURITY:

Trained/expert camp leaders will be available for guidance. Medicines will be available in the camp. First aid/ basic medical assistance shall be provided. While every care has been taken to ensure safety, Trexpert will not be responsible for any accidents, illness and any such unforeseen eventualities.

Certificates:

Participants, who successfully complete the trek and abide by the discipline of the program, will be awarded certificates.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

1. Smoking, use of alcohol and narcotics of any description is strictly prohibited during the course of the program.

2. Deviation from the set route of the program is not permitted. If participants may wish to join any other activity, they may do so at their own responsibility and risk only after finishing the program and checking out.

3. Stay other than TREXPERT Camp is not allowed for the entire duration of the camp.

4. This is an environment friendly trek. Do no litter any wrappers or spoil the trial in any way. In case you find any wrapper, plastic bag or anything left by trekkers on the way, please carry the same with you and deposit at the next camp.

5. Burning of woods during camp fire is strictly prohibited.

6. Medical Certificate is compulsory; you have to summit Medical Certificate at the time of reporting.

If found flouting the rules, your participation will be terminated with immediate effect.

 Cancellation 

CANCELLATION RULES:

In case you are unable to join this trek you will get 50% of the prog. Fee which is Rs.4500 /- as refund, provided your online cancellation request is received before 20th May 2023 (positively). Any request received after the last date of cancellation will not be considered.

Participants who have booked online should cancel online before 20th  May 2023.

Any unforeseen event / strike or natural calamity will not be considered as a cause of cancellation. Refund will be given after completion of the programs.
